EMA question (uk answers please)?

EMA has been a nightmare for my daughter. She never knew when it was coming, as the school didn't send things off regularly. She had a payment this Saturday, but it wasn't as much as she thought - as she was expecting the bonus. I don't ever remember any letters arriving from them (she's now finished fulltime schooling and is off to Uni in September) in the two years that she received EMA.
