Anyone know anything about batteries and digital cameras???

Alright so i'm having huge issues with batteries and my digital. Its a brand new Samsung S630 and it seems to hate batteries. I just bought a brand new set of Energizer e2 rechargeables and put them in my camera and it said 'Low Battery' but there brand new! Please help, im rather frustrated...
