Sony PS3 Phat 80gb or PS3 Slim 120gb?

The Slim really doesn't offer much to make it better. Better to say both are still basically the same console. Power consumption for the Slim is roughly 90-100 watts give or take whereas the 80 GB is roughly 130-140 watts give or take. This coincides with that 30 percentile range of reduction in power consumption due to the differences in chips (45 nm vs 65 nm) and definitely isn't gonna save you significant dollars. Sounds like you'd be happier with the 80 GB.
