How do you put songs on another ipod without adding the songs from your ipod on it???

I have a video ipod and my grandpa wants me 2 put songs on his ipod..of course he doesn't want hip hop on his ipod..he wants oldies..so how do i put songs on his ipod without putting my songs on his??..idk if this will work but i was thinking that maybe i could burn the songs he wants on his ipod 2 a cd and then add the songs fron the cd back on his ipod..
