What can I do to stop my dog from eating pooh?

Jack Russell 12 years old; never satisfied, begs, breaks into her food canister and eat pooh. She has skin and inhalant allergies and for the skin allergies she eat Duck & Potatoes. It's out of hand and beside bad breath, she is gy. Picking up pooh helps for the time. Any suggestions welcome.
