Has anybody ever healed themself of an ailment..?

I suffered for a long time with itchy ankles and the bridge of my feet. Drove me mad specially at night, even bled from scratching.. One night I sprayed aftershave on my feet & ankles and the Itch went away.. I have done this ever since and I have not had a problem since. Cured I am.. Anybody know why aftershave worked ? Did you cure yourself from something ??
