Laws against Quitting/No Show in Health care?

If you are "lower cl" such as working in the cafeteria but you are technically one of the last people to leave/quit and the few left are overworked and understaffed (very, very)? Is it considered abandonment on your record? But if they under staff us - isn't that more "abandonment" for the worker?
