Can I still get charged?

I live in southern Manitoba, Canada, and last night i got my first drinking minor. They asked my name and i told them it, and even spelled it out and they still wrote down someone elses name down on the ticket. my question is: is there a worm hole where i can avoid this hefty 278$ ticket?
