Is the war on Drugs all a big Sham to take away our rights?

I dont think we'll ever know the full extent of why we didnt do anything about the poppy growing in Afghanastan. I've been trying to convince the powers that be to legalize marijuana and have a central agency to track what medications people are getting from their doctors. We all know people who go from doctor to doctor and have ten prescriptions for oxycodone or whatever drug is their thing. I was told if we did that it would be an invasion of our privacy. It seems like too many people are making too much money from our addictions and nobody wants to pull the plug. To answer your question. Yes I think it's all smoke and mirrors.
